چکیده

In this research, a lab scale wastewater treatment plant was locally designed as continuous culture of activated sludge and using dual water purification system titanium oxide nanoparticles (TiO2 NPs). Biosynthesis TiO2NPs characterization were done, then nanofilter prepared by tightly wrapping the filter with gauze moistened it 1% TiO2 NPs solution until saturation, control also prepared. Wastewater sample passed through each filter. The results showed that improved their quality values physical, chemical biological properties which included turbidity decreased from 561 to became 2.9 NTU, total solid suspended (1820, 1217 mg/l) (421, 2 respectively, oxygen demands (256, 410 (50, 41.5 respectively. NO3-1, PO4-3, SO4-2 reduced ( 100, 8.2, 78) (6.8, 0.9, 48) Additionally heavy metals successfully removed plate count, coliform, fecal coliform fungi highly decreased.

Adsorptive removal of phosphate from wastewater using mesoporous titanium oxide

The adsorption of phosphate onto mesoporous TiO2 was investigated in order to reduce phosphorus concentrations in wastewater and provide a potential mode of phosphorus recovery. Three equilibrium isotherms were used to optimize and properly describe phosphate adsorption (R > 0.95). The maximum capacity of phosphate on the adsorbent was found to be 50.4 mg/g, which indicated that mesoporous TiO2...

Electrochemical degradation of resorcinol using mixed oxide coated titanium electrode for wastewater treatment--A kinetic study

This study presents the theory and kinetics of electrochemical dlegradation of resorcinol in the presence of chloride using Tifl'i02 Ru02 Ir02 electrode. The rate constant is affected by chloride concentration, initial resorcinol concentration and current density. The rate of electrochemical oxidation is found to be a pseudo first order kinetic process. The maximum rate of reaction is obtained ...

Photocatalytic Treatment of Olive Mill Wastewater by Magnetic Core Titanium Dioxide Nanoparticles

The photocatalytic degradation of organic compounds of olive mill wastewater (OMWW) was investigated by using core-shell-shell Fe3O4/SiO2/TiO2 nanoparticles as catalyst. The preparation of nanoparticles was performed by coating onto magnetic nanoparticles a SiO2 layer, using Stober method and TiO2 layer, using sol-gel method. The photo catalyst was characterized by dynamic light scattering (DLS...

Use of titanium dioxide nanoparticles biosynthesized by Bacillus mycoides in quantum dot sensitized solar cells

BACKGROUND One of the major challenges of nanotechnology during the last decade has been the development of new procedures to synthesize nanoparticles. In this context, biosynthetic methods have taken hold since they are simple, safe and eco-friendly. RESULTS In this study, we report the biosynthesis of TiO2 nanoparticles by an environmental isolate of Bacillus mycoides, a poorly described Gr...

Survey of indicator toxicity of Isfahan south of wastewater treatment plant by using of daphnia magna

Introduction: Bioassay is necessary for assessment of pollution. Because physical and chemical taste are not enough for assessment of potential effects on water ecosystem. Bioassay tests have alot of scientific value inanition doing of them is easy and need less time, also need less space, laboratory equipment’s and expenditure. Therefor such tests have found special attention in water pollutio...
